My Rant
Dear Coworker:
I’m really glad you like your job. The fact that you find yourself indispensible astounds me, but facts are facts and you are always here. You are convinced the office will go to hell without you here. Your boss forces you to take the mandatory time off each year (the use-it-or-lose-it kind of time off) and you only take the days off given to us as governed by our union rules. If you could find some way to be here those days I’m sure you’d have found a way by now.
Which brings me to this point: I am positive you have gadzooks of sick time. I would bet my yarn stash on it. When you are sick, please stay home. I have spent the past month combating my germs and copious secretions with various pharmaceuticals, the latest of which includes antibiotics (again). I certainly do not need you to bring your fresh lively healthy germs into the office just when I almost have mine beaten to death.
Please take your sick self home and stay home. Please.
No kidding! Ye gads, there are days I'm sure I'm sitting in a SARS ward.

Jewel- People don't think, do they? Well, they do, but only of themselves.
Well said.

People like that think they're doing more good than anything else by being "workaholics". Not realizing they'd be serving the company/hospital better by NOT coming in!!!
UGH! Take care of yourself Jewel!

Arghhhhh! Maybe you should hand said co-worker a face mask and a copy of your rant. People like that are so annoying you just want to slap them!
Hope you are able to put the shared germs to rest soon!

People like that are terrified that other people will find them easily replaceable. And people who don't stay home with their filthy sick germs when they're sick should be slapped.
Hope you avoid getting the monkey pox again!
