With each passing year it becomes more and more evident that I will not knit up everything in my stash.  But I sure do enjoy looking at it!

Kitty Schmutz

Out of the three cats we have, Mia is the only one who schmutzes.   She schmutzes on the edges of doors, chair legs, human legs, boxes - you name it.

I recently got together a belated birthday box for Lorraine and she schmutzed it before I could get it out of the house.  You can't see it but I bet Chow Chops will find it...

P.S.  I later re-read this post and need to edit it to say:  I recently got together a belated birthday box for Lorraine and Meems schmutzed it before I could get it out of the house.  I certainly don't want people to think that Lorraine goes around schmutzing.  At least I don't think she does.

It’s Monday

I just couldn't find a clever title for today's post.   Between it being my birthday and being sick my brain is now old and there aren't as many active brain cells.

The birthday festivities began last week when I received some birthday prezzies from Lorraine.  If you've been reading my blog for any amount of time, you'll know my favorite color is pink!

Is the pink sheep bag and matching case cute, or what?  Your Cat's Just Not That into You has been read thoroughly from cover to cover.  Twice.  Of course the Anne Taintor journal is quite a treasure too.  Some of the sayings in it are priceless, my favorite being "Frugal is such an ugly word."    Lorraine knows me very well as there was a new MAC lustreglass in "Pinkarat".  When I first read it I thought it was "Pink Rat".   :-)  Do you see the other lipstick?  Well, it's really a pen.  How clever is that?

I bought a new pair of Crocs in Cotton Candy and they were perfect for the Croc jewelry she sent!

By the end of the week a cold hit.  I ended up spending most of the weekend in bed, including my birthday.  However, I was waited on and spoiled rotten by my hubby.  I did manage to get some knitting done.  I finished the Four Seasons Throw I started in January of this year.  If I had just focused on this I would have had it done long ago.  The Four Seasons Throw is knit from Manos del Uruguay in the fall colorway.

That's about it for now.  I'm back to work tomorrow.  I'm feeling a lot better.  I've been pushing the fluids, tea, soup, and gummy bears.    Yes.  Gummy bears. 

 It's proven to brighten anyone's spirits.  Just ask Dr. Lorraine.
