Chips Ahoy!

Last August when Lorraine and I met in Chicago she brought me Ketchup and Dill Pickle potato chips.   They were out of this world.   On Friday I got a box from her and it had Ketchup, Dill Pickle, and Roastin Chicken chips!  Why, it was practically a meal!

  12 o'clock:  Roastin Chicken, 5 o'clock:  Dill Pickle, 8 o'clock Ketchup chips

Anyone who loves chips will go insanely crazy for these.  They are like no other chips I've tasted.  Everyone Chez Purls lovest them!

After dinner there's always dessert.  How about a slice of Flamingo Pie?

  Doesn't it look delicious???  It's Dream in Color Baby Laceweight.  Two skeins.  2 die 4.

If you don't get enough of dessert, there's always this:  White chocolate bark and chewy minty candies.  Yum.  Yum.  Yum.

Meanwhile, there has been a little knitting going on.  I've been working on Anne Hanson's Hot Waffles Hat and Mitts.  I've done one mitt and I'm knitting it in Dream in Color Classy, Beach Fog.

Thank you Lorraine!  You're such a sweetheart.

Oh Lookie.  A Ketchup chip landed in the palm of my mitt.  I must go now.

Hokey Smokes

Christmas is two days from now.  Really?  I've been having a tough time getting into the festive spirit.  Between fighting this horrible cold that never quits and trying to do as much shopping online as I can I've never just quite come to the realization that Christmas is so close.

However, when I came home from work on Friday there was a box waiting from Canada.   Lorraine sent me the most wonderful assortment of goodies and sheepy stuff.  Who else knows deep down inside that I like crayons and coloring?  Yup.  My buddy, Lorraine.  She also sent peppermint chewy candy, which is close to taffy, but dang!  It's pepperminty good!  My two other pink Serta sheep will be happy with their white sheepy playmate.

Can you believe Lorraine made this?  Good grief, that woman has talent seeping from every pore and hair follicle.  Thank you Lorraine!!

I'm off to get baking done and some last minute shopping.  I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!  I hope there's yarn under your tree.
