The End of Sirdal
Well, actually it's the beginning of Sirdal as it's now complete! It's no longer a bunch of yarn in a bag. Here she is!!
I really love how the sleeves turned out. Here's a closeup of the buttons on the cuff:
And the inside:
The only thing I am going to add that it doesn't mention is a little grosgrain ribbon on the inside of the button/buttonhole bands. With the buttons sewn on through the ribbing it's a little bit flimsy. Adding some grosgrain ribbon on the inside will give a more secure base to hold the buttons.
I really enjoyed this Dale. A lot of people have commented through e-mail and comments that they like the color (black), but it's not black. It's deep navy - about as navy as one can get before going black. The yarn is Dale of Norway Heilo in Deepest Navy and Cream.
My next project is going to be Luskentyre. After knitting with such a dark color I'm looking forward to knitting with such springy colors, one of which is PINK!
